“Love Your Heart” Health and Wellness Workshop
February is the perfect time to take care of your heart! The Pensacola Alumnae Chapter Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and Greater Little Rock Church’s Sisters of Gideon Ministry will co-host this FUN and FREE community event in recognition of American Heart Month. Come enjoy a wealth of information on heart health with a keynote address from cardiologist Dr. Pelbreton Balfour. There will be health screenings, cholesterol checks, health care providers on site to answer questions, a healthy cooking demonstration, fitness activities, door prizes, and refreshments.
Walgreens will be on site giving flu, Covid-19, RSV, shingles, and pneumonia vaccines to adults. A $10 gift card will be given to those who receive a vaccine while supplies last. Up to date vaccine information and voting information will also be available.
Be sure to wear red on Friday, February 2 for National Wear Red Day to help bring awareness about heart disease. Hope you can join us!
