Go Red for Women Stomp Out Heart Disease
The Jackson (MS) Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. will host our Go Red for Women Stomp Out Heart Disease Event on February 3, 2024 from 10am until 12pm. We are partnering with the National Panhellinic Council and Step Teams in the area who will present a fun, heart racing performance that will include a heart disease related message. Another partner for this event is the American Heart Association and several heart healthy related vendors who will provide health screenings and resources. One highlight of our program will be testimonials provided by some who have been affected by heart disease. Who better to help our audience become aware of the dangers of heart disease than those who’ve personally experienced this condition. Of course, we wouldn’t miss out on this opportunity to include Good Health Wins and offer COVID-19 and Flu Vaccines which will be provided by Northtown Pharmacy. We will also have those trusted messengers at our Good Health Wins table who will help all attendees understand the importance of making sure they are up-to-date on all vaccines. Business cards have also been created and will be provided that will share the QR code for the CDC’S Bridge Access Program. We want to do our part to ensure our community has no barriers to becoming vaccinated against COVID-19.
